Exciting
new wines just arrived!! – Red
Nectar and Kalleske wines
now in stock!
Back
in January we discovered some
of the most exciting wines we’ve
ever tasted when we came across
Red Nectar and Kalleske, two
small wineries in the Barossa
Valley, Australia. The wines
are made by Troy Kalleske who’s
quickly making a name for himself
as a producer to really watch
out for. His wines are already
fetching high prices and gaining
cult status. We managed to get
ourselves an allocation of these
beauties.
If
you like full-throttle Aussie
reds we seriously recommend
that you try these wines!
You
can happily drink them now or
they’ll hold and mature
for up to 10 years.

of Wine
- Mas de Libian Cuvée Khayham 2005 / €15.95
"Dusky dark fruits - plums, cassis, liquorice and a dash of pepper.
Tannins are firm but the wine has an excellent structure and a long spicy finish."
- Domaine Les Bruyeres Crozes-Hermitage 2005 / €22.95
"Appealing nose of cassis and brambles.Ripe, concentrated fruit on the focused palate, with blackberry, damson, cinnamon and nutmeg flavours. Tannins are rounded and the finish is persistent and harmonious."
- Red Nectar Cabernet Sauvignon2005 / €25.95
"Dark, dense colour.rich nose of figgy fruit.this is a big wine with high alcohol but it's a smoothie - ripe cassis fruit, chocolate, a bit of mushroom, very gentle tannins and good complexity on the finish."
- Kalleske Greenock Shiraz 2004 / €35.95
"Dense brooding palate of rich blackcurrants and black pepper.
A wine that takes no prisoners - full-on, oaky flavours, with fine-grained tannins and fruity peppery length."
- Costers del Sio "Arocho"2005 / €25.00
"Oaky, dense nose of damsons and figs. Good concentration of damson and plum fruit on the palate, with quite a bit of coffee from the oak, but nicely integrated. A big wine with smooth tannins and a soft, intensely fruity finish."
- Elian Da Ros "Le Vin est une Fete" 2004 / €13.95
"Stylish, slightly inky wine, with a lovely purity of fruit and a tangy, lightly tannic dry finish."
