Bridgestone

Piedmont

Astibarbera

These wines are produced by an association of small family growers whose vineyards are located in the municipalities of Asti, Mongardino and Isola, on the sunny slopes rising on the banks of the Tanaro river in Piedmont. The wines are very expressive, made from indigenous Italian grape varieties.

Astibarbera Cortese 'Viveur' 2002

100% Cortese. A lively, fruity, medium bodied wine with good acidity.

Astibarbera Chardonnay 'La Curenta' 2002

Give Italian style and finesse to a traditional popular wine and this is what you get
– a refreshing new take on an old favourite.

Astibarbera Barbera d’Asti 2001

100% Barbera grapes aged in French Oak casks. Chocolate and cherry fruit, a tasty savoury streak and refreshing acidity. Well structured.

Astibarbera Freisa d'Asti 2000

Made from the unusual Freisa grape, typical of this region. Cherry and raspberry aromas and flavours, round and velvety. Locally known as 'happy juice'.

Barbera d'Asti Superiore 'Berengarium' 1999

'The region produces lots of fruity, expressive red varietals, including this showstopper of a Barbera Superiore. It has a deep ruby colour and a nose of black cherries with strong hints of tobacco. In the mouth it is full, smooth and concentrated, with lots of forest berry flavours and a vanilla oak finish.' Myles McWeeney, Irish Independent.
Featured in The Best of Wine Guide in Ireland.
