Barking Owl is the exclusive range from Millbrook winery situated in the historic town of Jarrahdale in Western Australia, 45 kilometres south-east of the capital Perth. The boutique winery is very much a family affair run by Peter and Lee Fogarty and their three children. All pruning and picking on the 8 hectare holding is undertaken by hand.

The wines are named after the keen-sighted local bird often seen perched in the small vineyard, and because of its unusual call it is affectionately known as the 'Barking Owl'.

Barking Owl Shiraz 2001

This flagship Shiraz is an amazing cornucopia of spices, dark plums and red berry fruits with an earthy complexity abundant on the nose and toasty vanillin oak with fine tannins providing a soft finish.

Barking Owl Cabernet Merlot 2002
A full-bodied wine with vibrant cassis and sweet blackberry fruit characters with restrained vanillin oak. Highly recommended 4 star wine in Decanter Magazine.

Barking Owl Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2003
