'Catalpa' is a South American tree which grows 6 meters high and has elegant aromatic white flowers with intricate violet and yellow designs on the petals. Atamisque ‘Catalpa’ Malbec is a beautifully elegant Malbec with incredibly well-defined fruit character. 50% of the wine is aged for 12 months in new French oak. Most of the fruit comes from the very special 70-year-old vines in the cool sub-district of La Consulta which is 1200 meters above sea level.
